Materials
- CherryCherry has a smooth grain and a color that varies from light pink to dark brown. It will darken or mellow with age. Mineral streaks, pin knots and sap wood are all natural and acceptable characteristics.
- HickoryHickory has a bold grain pattern. Color can vary dramatically within a single piece of wood: from almost white to a deep, dark brown. Burls, pin knots and mineral streaks are typical and are not considered defects.
- Knotty AlderKnotty alder has a very uniform light brown color with a reddish tinge and a fairly straight-grained, uniform texture. Knots, mineral streaks and other variations are typical and are not considered defects.
- MapleMaple has a smooth texture and tight, uniform grain patterns. Generally creamy white, it can vary from bright white to light pink or reddish brown. Maple will amber as it ages.
- OakOak has a varied, open grain pattern. Colors range from light tan and pink to medium dark red and brown. Oak may contain small mineral streaks and some pin knots.
- Paint GradePaint Grade is an engineered wood product made by breaking down hardwood and softwood into wood fibers and combining with resin. Pressure and heat are then used to create a smooth surface with a consistent core. Painted Paint Grade is durable and more resistant to warping, expansion and contraction than solid hardwoods. Moldings ordered in Paint Grade door styles will be constructed of maple and painted to match your order selection.
- Quartersawn OakQuartersawn oak is quartered and then cut at an angle to the growth ring of the tree to expose a beautiful aspect of the grain. Color ranges from light tan and pink to medium dark red and brown. Quartersawn oak is a dense, heavy wood that is very strong and resists shock.
- Rustic MapleMaple has a smooth texture and tight, uniform grain patterns. Generally creamy white, it can vary from bright white to light pink or reddish brown. Maple will amber as it ages.
Door Style Types
- Flat PanelA modern, contemporary door where the center panel is recessed lower than the surrounding stile and rail. Both flat and reverse raised panels are in this category – but differ in construction. Flat center panels are made from either veneer or paint grade material where reverse raised panels are either solid wood or paint grade material. Both have the same look from the face of the door.
- Raised PanelFeature a pronounced solid wood or paint grade central panel design often accompanied by well-defined edges. Raised Panel doors deliver loads of appeal for handsome, traditional designs.
- Beaded PanelDeliver great detail with a distinct solid wood, beaded-center panel design perfect for broad customization or targeted mix-n-match opportunities.
- Specialty PanelEach unique in their own right! These doors feature a fixed panel and detailed enhancements that can take your design to the next level.
Door Style Constructions
- Full OverlayThe door and drawer style cover almost the entire face of the cabinet frame when closed.
- Half OverlayWhen closed, the door and drawer style cover a portion of the cabinet and more of the face frame is visible.
- InsetA distinctive style where the door and drawer front sit flush into the face frame of the cabinet offering a timeless, furniture look.
